Hey there, Matteo here 👋

Just back from a good vacation week

Spent at home in Sardinia with my family and friends

Great to recharge fully and smash it in the next 5 months of the year.

An interesting thing I noticed is that every quarter, I see the same mistake repeated by Heads of Sales, Founders, and CEOs of B2B companies.

They focus on surface-level numbers:

  • ✅ Acceptance rate
  • ✅ Network growth
  • ✅ Inbox volume

But they forget the metric that really matters:

💸 Revenue.

Let me show you how a small change in your LinkedIn outbound strategy can 2x your pipeline.

🎯 The Test

We ran an experiment for a client in the TAM Acceleration Program.

Same ICP. Same value prop. Nearly identical copy.

But we split test two campaigns on HeyReach:

Test A → Blank connection request

→ Pitch sent in Message 1

Test B → Value prop included in the connection request

  • 📊 The Results
  • ✅ Acceptance Rate
  • Test A (blank): 30.4%
  • Test B (pitch): 20%

BUT…

  • ✅ Reply Rate
  • Test A: 12.5%
  • Test B: 29.9%

Let that sink in.

Test B more than doubled the reply rate, just by including the pitch up front.

🧠 Why It Works

LinkedIn is noisy. People don’t have time to guess why you’re reaching out.

The sooner they see the why, the sooner they decide:

✔️ “This is relevant, I’m in”

✖️ “Not for me”

And if you’re targeting the right people?

The right people will reply.

💡 The Takeaway

If your KPI is pipeline, not popularity:

Stop sending blank connection requests.

Add your pitch right in the invite.

You’ll get fewer connections.

But way more conversations.

And way more qualified deals in pipeline.

It’s what we do for every client inside the TAM Acceleration Program, and it’s part of building what we call your Revenue Flywheel.
