Signals worth acting on, and the ones that are just noise

Most signal feeds tell you something happened. Very few tell you an account is ready. This week: how we separate the two.

Every signal tool will show you a feed of things that happened at your target accounts. The hard part is deciding which of those things should make you send an email this week, and what that email should say.

The test we use

Before acting on any signal, we ask one question: would this change the first line of the email? If the message would be the same with or without the signal, it is not a signal, it is a trigger for a sequence you were going to send anyway.

This week's prompt

text
Here is a signal about an account and our offer.
Write the one sentence that connects them, or reply NONE
if the signal does not change what we would say.

More on how we run this in practice on our ABM page.
